レーザー位相制御による光分解生成物の選択

研究概要

平成8年度に光分解生成物のイオン画像分光を行うための装置を完成させた。このイオン画像装置は、光分解生成物を多光子イオン化して、電極で加速して一定時間飛行させ、二次元イオン検出器で観測し、二次元画像の広がりにより光分解生成物の速度分布を測定するものである。完成した装置により、生成物の電子・振動・回転状態を選別し、並進速度についても充分に分解して測定できることを証明できた。終状態を指定した個々の分解過程を追うことができるので、レーザー位相制御の観測を行う上で非常に有利である。従来の分解生成物の濃度だけの測定では、数多くの量子状態への分解過程の重なりにより、コヒーレント効果が打ち消されてしまうからである。イオン画像装置を用いて光分解生成物の並進速度分布および角度分布を一度に観測できるイオン画像分光を実際に行った。具体的には、CH_3Br, (CH_3Br)_2, SOCl_2, CCl_4などの光分解過程の研究を行い成果を得た。その結果を学術誌に投稿した。このイオン画像分光により、効率よく光分解生成物を検出できること、分解生成物の電子・振動・回転状態を選別して並進エネルギー分布を求めることができた。CH_3Brについては、真空紫外の118nmで光分解したところ、CH_3^+とBr^-のイオン対生成が見られた。このイオン対過程は中性解離およびCH_3Br^+への直接イオン化と競争していることがわかった。次年度は、真空紫外118nmとともに355nmのレーザー光を入射することにより異光分解過程の位相制御を行う。
