有瓜動物カギムシPeripatus心臓の拍動起源と神経支配

研究概要

有爪動物カギムシをオーストラリアに求めEuperipatoides kanangrensis、を取得して研究に用いている。昨年神経ペプチドの一種FMR Famideの抗体を用いて全神経系においてFMR Famidd様免疫反応を調べ、ニューロンのマッピングを行った。
本年度はこれに続き抗セロトニン(5-HT)抗体をもちいて、光学顕微鏡免疫細胞化学的研究を行った。カギムシ神経系を中心に、光学顕微鏡用の試料として全載標本およびパラフィン切片標本を作成して、セロトニン作動性ニューロンのマッピングを行い次のような結果を得た。
1) 神経系全般に亘りセロトニン様免疫陽性ニューロンプロセスが観察された。2)脳神経節では commissureにセロトニン様免疫陽性ニューロンプロセスを多く認め、その近くの領域にニューロン細胞体が多く認められた。3)アンテナには免疫陽性プロセスが認められなかった。しかし、4)アンテナ基部の脳糸球体構造に免疫陽性神経プロセスが観察された。5)視索には認められなかったが、網膜および視神経節に免疫陽性プロセスが認められた。6)棘足の内に収まる原腎管、小嚢に免疫陽性プロセスが観察された。7)前、中、後腸の壁に壁内外にプロセスを伸ばす双極ニューロンが認められた8)心臓、輸卵管に免疫陽性プロセスが認められた。
これらのことから、セロトニンは感覚、運動神経で神経伝達物質として使われていると推測された。
