研究概要

集団遺伝学における地理的構造をもつ無限アリルモデルをあらわす数学モデルであるstepping stone Fleming-Viot過程の定常状態について研究し、成果をあげることが出来た。本研究においては、次の問題を研究した。有限個の集落から有限個の遺伝子を無作為に抽出したとき、その中に何個の対立遺伝子が平均的に存在するかという問題である。
地理的構造をもたない通常の無限アリルモデルの場合はこれに相当する問題は解決されており、それはEwensのsampling formulaと呼ばれていて、集団遺伝学および確率論において良く知られている。我々の問題は、地理的構造のある場合に対応する問題を検討することである。
我々の結果は次のように説明することができる。
有限個の遺伝子のsampleのなかの平均対立遺伝子数は、dual processであるマルコフ連鎖を用いて表現出来ること、Feynman-Kac formulaを用いるとこの量を更に深く解析できること、移住率が非常に大きいときこの量の漸近的挙動を明らかにすることができること。
この結果の一部分は既にシンポジウム等において発表済みであるが論文としては現在準備中である。なお、研究分担者は別記のように各分野において業績をあげている。
