写像の特異点と低次元多様体の研究

研究概要	1.安定写像のStein分解については、値域が曲面の場合(定義域の次元は何でも良い)、常に多面体になることを示し、更に各点での局所的な様子の完全な記述も与えた。値域が3次元以上の場合は今後の研究課題である。 2.写像の特異点の消去について: (1)値域が曲面の場合、定義域の微分同相類を変えず、写像を変えてStein分解を簡単にする操作を発見した。 (2)次元が2倍のユークリッド空間に埋め込まれた多様体を、1次元低いユークリッド空間に射影したときに現れる特異点の消去を、ホイットニ-アンブレラの符号で完全に記述した。 (3)多様体間の連続写像が位相的埋め込みにホモトピックになる(つまり位相的特異点を消去できる)ための障害類を定義し、そのボルディズム不変性を使って、射影空間上の写像についての応用を幾つか与えた。 (4)次元多様体間の安定写像の特異点の消去は、トム多項式で完全に記述出来ることを示した。 3.安定写像の、Stein分解を使った多様体の分解について: (1)値域が曲面の場合に、2.(1)によって簡単にされたStein分解を使って定義域多様体の自然な分解を考え、4次元多様体の場合にその微分同相類に関する新しい結果を得た。 (2)4次元多様体から3次元多様体への写像について具体的に考察し、微分構造に関する新しい結果を得た。 4.定義域が3次元のとき、ある性質を持った安定写像の存在と、定義域がグラフ多様体であることとの同値性を示し、そのような写像の同値類がグラフ絡み目と対応することを示した。以上により、安定写像を使って(低次元)多様体の大域的構造を調べるための理論がかなり構築出来たと言える。
