研究概要

分子の集積・組織体の設計の精密化が進み、得られた集積・組織体について構成分子の物性の代数和ではない協同現象が発見され、また制御された機能発現が下記の様に行われた。
[新海 征治]糖分子の構造および不斉情報をボロン酸というインターフェイスを通して金属錯体の絶対配置あるいはヘリシティーへ転写することに成功した。また、認識シグナルの増幅および認識に伴う機能の付与を目指し,認識過程にアロステリック効果を用いることを計画した。アロステリックホスト分子を設計するに際して,「facetoface型ポルフィリン二量体」を基体となる分子に選び検討を行った。その結果、セリウムダブルデッカーポルフィリン錯体がアロステリックにゲスト分子を捕捉する構造を有することを明らかとした。さらにホモオキサカリックス[3]アレーンを基体とする分子カプセルを設計・合成し、初めてNMRより遅いtimescaleでフラーレンを分子カプセル内に閉じ込めることに成功した。
[青山 安弘]既存の水素結合ネットワークと可溶性のルイス酸金属錯体を単に混ぜるだけで得られる有機-無機複合固体が、多孔性、可逆的なゲスト捕捉、対応する均一触媒を遥かに凌駕する触媒活性、回収と再利用の容易さなどを備えた著しい固体触媒であり、省資源、省エネルギー、廃棄物の生じない環境保全型の次世代物質変換において極めて有効であろうことが明かとなった。
[成田 吉徳]新しい酸素活性化機能を有する分子集積体として、分子認識部位-酸素配位金属部位-活性化促進のための軸配位子部位を組み込んだ、新たなチトクロームP-450規範として第2世代Twin-coronet′ポルフィリンの合成に成功した。これはチオレート配位子を有するにも拘わらず、酵素同様に空気中で安定であり、世界で始めてその還元体の可逆的に酸素の吸脱着を可能としたほか、酵素活性中心に見られるあらゆるスペクトル的特徴を再現した。さらに選択的な酸化触媒としての機能の発現が認められた。
[國武 豊喜]表面ゾルゲル法により作製した酸化チタン超薄膜上に、末端水酸基を有するアルキルジスルフィドで修飾した金超微粒子を吸着させたところ、極めて高密度に組織化されることを見いだした。この金超微粒子上には再び表面ゾルゲル法により酸化チタン薄膜を形成できることから、酸化チタン-金超微粒子の交互積層膜を作製する手法が確立された。また、表面ゾルゲル法による酸化チタン薄膜の調製において疎水性カルボン酸分子やペプチドを鋳型とする分子すり込みについて検討した。これらの鋳型分子共存下で作製した酸化チタン膜は、鋳型分子に対する高度な認識挙動を示した。このように、表面ゾルゲル法の展開により、機能性無機超薄膜の構築を実現した。
[梶山 千里]1)リグノセリン酸単分子膜の凝集構造を水平力顕微鏡観察・電子線回折・赤外吸収測定に基づき評価し、プラトー領域直下の表面圧での結晶転移挙動を明らかにした。また一定表面圧での温度変化でも同様な結晶転移現象を見いだした。この結晶転移現象を利用した大面積・低欠陥単分子膜の構築法を明らかにした。2)有機シラン単分子膜およびその積層膜の凝集構造をX線回折および原子間力顕微鏡観察に基づき評価し、ラングミュアー法により従来の化学吸着法に比べて高い構造秩序性を有する有機シラン単分子膜が調製できることを見出した。3)ポリスチレン表面の粘弾的性質の温度依存性を走査粘弾性顕微鏡測定に基づき測定し、表面のガラス転移温度がバルクに比べて著しく低下していることを初めて明らかにした。
[稲津 孝彦]非共有電子対が狭い分子空間に集中したヘキサエチレンテラミンをプロトン包接体として単離、X線構造解析、温度可変スペクトル等により特徴的なT対称の構造を明らかにし、強アルカリ条件下でもプロトンが除去されないなどの興味ある性質を明らかにした。また、ヘキサメタキシリレンテトラミンのフッ素置換体を合成、金属イオンとの抽出実験、金属イオン包接体のX線構造解析によりフッ素原子と金属イオン間の相互作用の存在を初めて明らかにした。
[古賀 登]新規光応答型磁気カップラーとして二次元、三次元構造構築可能な2,2'-ビピリジン骨格を用いることを構想し、安定なニトロキシドラジカル及びジアゾ基を持つ2,2'-ビピリジン金属錯体を合成した。金属イオンとラジカルとの2,2'-ビピリジン骨格を通した磁気的相互作用と結晶構造について明らかにした。更に溶液状態でも強く金属イオンと配位しているため、溶液及びマトリックス状態で磁気的性質及び電子的性質を調べることが可能となった。
