大規模開発を目前に控えた東アジア地域における大気中物質移動

研究概要

国連主導のもと開発が決定した図們江河口周辺地域(ロシア、中国、北朝鮮国境)は、今後経済開発工業化が急速に進展する可能性がある。この地域は日本海を挟んで日本の対岸に位置する事から、この地域における工業化は環日本海域の大気環境に多大な影響を及ぼすものと予想される。しかしながら環日海域における大気中物質移動に関する知見は、黄砂の飛来に関する研究はあるものの、それ以外の物質については研究報告は少ない。本研究では大規模開発が始まる前の段階における環日本海域における物質の移動挙動を解明し、開発が及ぼす環境への影響を評価する事を貝的とし、日本海対岸に位置するロシア沿海州と、黄砂移動追跡で研究実績のある中国の研究者と連係し、大気分析に関する共同研究に関する調査研究を行った。その結果、分析対象となる物質に化石燃料燃焼により発生するニトロ多環芳香族炭化水素を採用する事によって、人為発生物質の挙動を把握できるとの理解に達し、ロシア沿海州都市ウラジオストクに位置するロシア科学アカデミー極東支部との協力により試料採集と分析が実現した。ニトロ多環芳香族炭化水素の分析はようやく始められた段階であり、季節変動等の長期観測が今後とも必要ではあるものの、これまでロシア沿海州地域では大気汚染が深刻ではないとされていた郊外地域においてニトロ多環芳香族炭化水素が、金沢市内の濃度よりも高い事が分かった。更にウラジオストク市中心における濃度は、交通量が多い金沢市内濃度よりもはるかに高い濃度が検出され、日本海対岸における排気ガスの実情と大気汚染の現状が見出された。以上の測定結果より、ニトロ多環芳香族炭化水素が長距離移動している可能性が見出され、更に都市部におけるその高い濃度が環日本海域における大気環境へ多大な影響を及ぼしている可能性が示唆された。
