研究概要

本特定領域研究では、就学期までの児童における概念発達、言語発達及び認知発達障害を対象に三つの研究設定して研究を進めている。各班の研究成果の発表と相互連絡のために平成10年度は6月(東京)、10月(神戸)に全体会議を開催し、1月(東京)に成果報告会を開催した。
言語発達班についてはシンポジウム「言語理論からのアプローチ」、講演会「位置の認識と状態の認識」、Tomas Roeper教授(University of Massachusetts)による特別講演「言語発達と心の理論」等において言語獲得の研究においてどのような言語能力が問題となるかについて指針が得られた。
概念発達班についてはシンポジウム「認知発達における社会・文化的環境の役割」を開催、James G.Green教授(Stanford University)を招待して講演会「Situative View of Cognitive Growth」を行い認知発達における社会・文化的要因の研究が今後の重要な研究領域になると考えられた。又、ワークショップ「心の理論から素朴心理学へ」を開催し、「心の理論」研究について新しい方向が示された。
発達障害班を中心に「機能的脳画像研究の現在」を開催、E.Roland教授(Karolinska Inst.)による特別講演「Structual divisions and functional fields of the cerebral cortex of man」では最新の画像解析の手法について知識が得られた。研究発表ではFMRIによる乳幼児の脳発達、発達障害児の脳機能画像(学習障害児、言語特異的機能障害児、聴覚障害者等)、コミュニケーションの基礎となる視線や感情認知等に関する研究成果が報告討論された。又これと関連して障害児の言語能力改善支援プログラムの研究にも成果が得られている。
