研究概要	本研究では、新しいセンシング機能界面の創製を一目指して、1)制御無機・有機複合化界面の創製、2)酵素モデル構造性金属錯体等を用いた生体機能界面の構築、3)無機固体界面を用いたガスセンサ機能界面の構築、などの研究を進め、以下のような研究成果を得た。 1. 制御無機・有機複合化界面での分子認識機能の発現に関して、チオール系分子による機能界面の例として、シトクロムcの電極反応に対する明確な界面構造依存性を明らかにした。また、電極表面の修飾分子の構造を高解像度のSTM測定結果や表面赤外分光測定から分子レベルで明らかにした。さらに、チオール分子による機能界面形成時に硫化物イオンが極微量存在するだけで修飾電極表面は複雑になることを明らかにするとともに、修飾界面の構造を予測するための判断基準を提唱した。 2. 生体機能界面の創製と応用において、酵素(ヘムエリトリン)機能を有する多電子移動型構造を持った鉄二核錯体の電極上への固定化に成功し、従来不可能であった水溶液中での測定を可能とし、物理化学的に特徴ある性質を明らかにした。また、人工生体機能プロモーター及び関連分子の修飾電極界面の分子レベルでの高分解能構造解析にも成功した。さらに、単一細胞レベルではじめて細胞膜の分子及びイオン透過挙動を電気化学的に解析が可能であることも実証された。 3. 高選択制・無機固体型センサ機能界面の創製に関して、半導体型ガスセンサの高感度化のための新しい水熱処理法の開発、すなわち、酸化スズゾル粒子の分散性を制御してメソポア構造の制御によりセンサ感度を一桁向上できた。また、100ppmレベルの二酸化炭素測定用の高耐湿性・低温動作機能を持つ固体電解質型ガスセンサを開発し、選択性発現のための界面構造を明らかにした。これらの研究は、いずれも新しい機能材料・機能素子創出の基礎の確立に大きく寄与するものである。
