回析的手法(放射光および高分解能電子顕微鏡等)による相変態の研究手法の開発

研究概要

本年度の研究成果は次のように纏められる。
1.X線回析―電気抵抗同時測定できるシステムの開発を行った。それをAu-47.5at.%Cd-0.75at.Cu合金の相変態に応用した結果、Msの値は両測定共一致したが、相変態終了温度Mfまでの温度範囲は電気抵抗の場合の方がX線回析の場合より広いことが分かった。
2.回転対陰極型X線源(理学電機製)にHuber社の2軸回析計にヘリウム循環型冷凍器を組み込み、格子定数の温度変化の精密測定装置を開発した。測定装置の温度の安定性は0.1度以内である。既知の試料の格子定数の測定から、有効数字は5桁まで一致した。
3.汎用の透過電子顕微鏡のオメガ型のマグネットを導入し、電子分光型電子顕微鏡を開発した。エネルギーフィルターの利用によって、非弾性散乱に伴う電子回析図形のバックグランドが軽減でき、これまで解析が困難であった相変態に伴う弱い散漫散乱の強度変化を定量的に評価することができた。
4.相変態に伴う電子状態の微弱な変化を検出するため、合金や酸化物の構成元素、特に遷移金属に注目し、2pから3dへの電子励起に伴う内殻電子励起スペクトルの変化を高精度で測定し解析する手法を開発した。
5.従来の高分解能電子顕微鏡と新しい手法であるHADF法の併用によって、新しい構造解析を試みた。Al-Ni-Ru正10角形準結晶の構造の決定と、CsCl超体心立方格子の準結晶を初めてみいだした。
