研究概要	[1.II-VI族希薄磁性半導体の光物性調御]非対称量子井戸構造を用いて、磁気発光、超高速分光により、非対称励起子磁気ポーラロン、及び、励起子分子の存在とその物性を明らかにした。黒田・滝田等は格子不整合エピタキシーを利用し、サイズの小さな磁性半導体(Cd,Mn)Te、非磁性半導体CdTeの自己組織化量子ドットの作成に成功した。(Cd,Mn)Teドットでの励起子発光の観測とその異常なスペクトル温度、磁場下の振る舞いを見出した。安藤等はイオン注入法によりCr-,Ni-希薄磁性半導体の合成に成功し,磁気円2色性の測定によりp-d交換相互作用、巨大ゼーマン効果の機構を明らかにした。また、GaAs基板上に(Cd,Mn)Te2層構造の光導波路の構築に成功し、多機能磁気光学光集積回路実現への第1歩を踏み出した。秋本等は、ポンプ・ブロープ磁気カー効果の実験をCdTe/(Cd,Mn)Te量子井戸で行い、半導体正孔スピンから局在Mnスピンへのスピン転写によるラーモア歳差運動をサブピコ秒の短時間領域で観測した。また、超短パルス光によるMnスピン歳差運動を増幅、抑止するというコヒーレントスピン制御にも成功した。[2.III-V族希薄磁性半導体の光物性制御]藤森等は放射光を用いた共鳴、角度分解光電子分光、内殻吸収磁気円2色性実験を行い、(Ga,Mn)AsでのMn3d電子とGaAs母体のバンド電子との相互作用機構を明らかにした。平川等は(Ga,Mn)Asの遠赤外領域での伝導度測定において強磁性転移温度近傍で正孔の局在長が変化する事を見出し、この系でのキャリヤ誘起強磁性秩序発現との関連を示唆した。[3.非磁性化合物半導体]嶽山等はCdTe量子井戸での高移動度2次元電子ガスを用いて、磁気発光の測定を行い、電子ガス中に光で注入された電子が多体効果によってスピン反転した状態を実現し(スピン波と正孔の共鳴効果)、磁気光学遷移に大きな変化を与えることを見出し、量子ホール状態でのスピンギャップの重要性を指摘した。平川等は(Ga,Al)As/GaAsでの2次元正孔系で、その量子ホール領域でのスピンギャップを用いた高感度遠赤外検知器の可能性を示した。
