研究概要

(1) 1月5日に総括班会議を高エネルギー加速器研究機構で開催した。
(2) Bの物理workshopを9/3-9/5に志賀高原で開催しBelle Collaborationの若手向き講義を行った。
(3) 実験ワークショップを鳴子川渡で開催し、Be11eのシュミレーションの結果を発表した。10/29-10/31
(4) Summer Instituteを高エネルギー加速器研究機構で8/25-8/29に開催。100名以上の参加者が全国から集まり、Belleの実験に関連する講義を行った。
総括班会議:1月5田こ総括班会議を高エネルギー物理学研究所で開催した。
Belle spectrometerの建設最終段階であり、その進捗状況と実験開始までの見通しを議論した。
A0l:高性能マルチCPUのデータ解析システムを完成させ、B中間子崩壊解析プログラムを開発した。
また、崩壊位置測定精度の改善を目指したピクセル型シリコン検出器の開発、特に、読み出し集積回路の試作とテストが進んでいる。
A02:物理解析の準備状況の報告とparticle ID検出器のR&Dの現状報告。特に、後者に関しては、DIRCに代わり、time-of-propagatiOn(TOP)counterを考案し、そのfeasibilityをシミュレーションstudyし、テストカウンターを製作し、ビームテストを進めている。同時に、fine-mesh multi-anode photo-tubeの開発研究も並行して進行している。
A3:標準模型をこえる物理を測定する方法を集中的に検討した。特にMinimal Supergravityの枠内でB崩壊、ミュウ中間子崩壊、K中間子崩壊などで標準模型の予言からどのくらいずれるか、実際に実験で測れるか検討した。総括班会議では、もう少しB崩壊に的を絞ったほうが良いとの意見が出た。
