研究概要	1.哺乳動物におけるタンパク質のミトコンドリアインポートに働くhsc70のパートナーシャペロンを検索し、DnaJホモログの一つであるHSDJが関与することをin vitroの系で明らかにした。(森) 2.新生コラーゲンとコラーゲン特異的分子シャペロンhsp47との相互作用を培養細胞の系で解析した。またヒトの熱ショック因子に属するが転写促進活性を持たない新しい因子HSF4を発見し解析した。(永田) 3.大腸菌細胞膜プロテアーゼ複合体を解析し、HflKCがFtsHと複合体を形成してSecYの分解を調節していることを明らかにした。(伊藤) 4.精製前駆体と精製分子シャペロンを用いるin vitroのインポート系を用いて、前駆体のミトコンドリア移行にMSFを用いる経路とhsp70を用いる経路があることを示した。(三原) 5.酵母のDnaJ様シャペロンJEMlpの性質と働きを解析し、JEMlpが小胞体に存在し、核の融合に働くことを明らかにした。(遠藤) 6.酵母のSecl2の小胞体局在機構を解析し、膜貫通ドメインを必要とし、Rerlpを介するretrieval(逆輸送)によるものと、細胞質領域を必要としRerlpを介さないretension(保持)によるものがあることを明らかにした。(中野)
