研究概要	軽水炉環境下における構造部材に環境助長割れ(以下EACと称する)は様々な因子に支配され、各々の因子を実験により検証することは非常に困難である。従ってEAC挙動の理論的定量化モデルが多数提案されているが、まだ挙動を定量的に説明するには十分ではない。その問題点を環境助長割れ機構に基づいて解決したものが本研究者らにより提案された理論モデルである。このモデルは材料、力学及び環境の3因子体表をすべて含んで説明している。しかし、より正確なEACの予測技術を確立するためには不確実なパラメタに対する実験的検証が必要であり、その問題解決に対する研究成果を以下に示す。まず、EACにおいて最も重要であるが、知られていない分野がき裂内部環境である。この問題の実験的検証のため、いままでの任意の変数値に依存するコンピュータシミュレーションではなく直接的なき裂内部環境計測方法としてき裂内部溶液のマイクロサンプリング法を確立した。この方法は近年米国の研究者によりも報告された例があるが、既存の方法においては採取量が100mlであったが、本研究ではおよそ3mlの量でき裂内部水化学の定量できる技術を確立、より正確な定量的データ提供が可能になった。原子力プラントの圧力容器用鋼のEAC模擬実験にこの技術を用いてき裂内部環境を計測した結果、圧力容器内冷却水に含まれている溶存酸素の濃度とき裂進展により露出されて溶解するMnS介在物の濃度関係を定量的に観察した。また、き裂進展量とMnS溶解によりき裂内部に供給される硫酸イオン濃度の関係を解明し、マイクロサンプリングによりき裂内部が洗浄され再びき裂進展が加速されるまでの時間を交流電位差法を用いて計測し、EACに必要な臨界陰イオン濃度を実験的に考察できるようになった。一方、EACに及ぼす圧力容器用鋼の材料因子としてMnS介在物の寸法及び方向の影響を解明した。
