部分多様体の微分幾何学的研究及び研究成果の効果的な情報交換システムの研究

研究概要	宇田川・大仁田・Guest・戸田・富岡等は可積分系の理論、gauge理論、twistor理論、loop群論等との関連を踏まえて調和写像の理論及び平均曲率一定な部分多様体・極小部分多様体の研究を推進している.1月には、極小曲面論や調和写像論で先進的な研究を展開している米国Massachusetts大学のFranz Pedit教授を招併聘して研究集会「微分幾何における可積分性の研究」を開催し研究成果のreviewを受けた. 伊藤・剱持・戸田・宮岡等は平均曲率一定な曲面の研究を多角的に推進している.特に、平均曲率一定な曲面に対する「剱持の公式」は極めて有用である. 江尻はEuclid空間内の全曲率が有限な極小曲面の研究を推進している. 塚田は一般化されたHopf多様体の研究及び全測地的部分多様体の研究をし幾つかの具体的な多様体の全測地的部分多様体を決定した. 足立・荻上・高木・前田等は多様体上の測地線・円・螺旋の形状を研究し、複素空間形の円及び螺旋の形状を完全に決定した.更に、部分多様体を測地線や円の外的形状によって決定する問題を研究し、特に各種射影空間標準的埋め込みに対して完全な結果を得ている.泉屋は同様な問題をMinkowski空間で研究している. 塩浜は非負定曲率空間内の完備部分多様体が球面と同相になるための条件を決定した. 都立大学の研究グループは中村・濱田を中心として研究成果の効果的な情報交換システムの研究を進めPPDG Mailng List System(http://www.math.metro-u.ac.jp/〜ppdg)を運用しつつその機能の改善をはかり、国際的に活用されている.
