研究概要

punctured disk上の同相写像をisotopy classに分類するアルゴリズムの一つであるFranks-Misiurewiczの方法に改良を加えた.基本操作の一つを新たに構成し,graphの頂点の写像のされ方が制御可能であることを示した.
円板上の同相写像で、組みひも型が擬アノソフ成分をもつような不変集合をもつものに対し、周期がn以下の周期点の個数が、2n+3個以上であることを示した。
ノイマン境界条件下の通常のギンツブルグ-ランダウ方程式は2次元の有界な凸領域では、零点をもつ安定な解をもたない。しかし、非一様性を変数係数として方程式に導入すると零点をもつ安定な解が構成できることを証明した。
神経方程式、反応拡散方程式などの非線型偏微分方程式に現れる進行波解の分岐とその線型安定性について、位相的指標によるアプローチを用いて研究を行った。
Ecalleの再生関数の理論を、複素力学系へ適用し、高い次元への拡張を試みた。現在のところ、まだ体系的な理論を構成するには到っていないが、解析不変量の研究への手がかりとなることがわかった。
SOR型Durand-Kerner法の螺旋軌道の存在を証明し、その安定性を調べた。
20世紀の数学の研究を省みて、最近言われてきた複雑系への数学について一つの提案をした。もう一つ、ジャック・ラカン(精神分析)が1970年代に数学(黄金比)を用いて「自己」を考えたことをカオスの立場から再構成した。
準線形楕円型方程式の球対称解の構造を知るために、対応する常微分方程式を調べた。主部の準線形の度合いをあらわす指数、半線形項の強さをあらわす指数、および空間次元が、解の零点の個数にどのようにかかわっているかについてを具体的に明らかにした。
