研究概要

平成12年度は、非線形現象を捉えるためのモデリングの研究を推進するとともに、平成9年度から継続してきた本研究課題に係わる研究の総括を行った。特に、本年度は以下の研究成果を挙げた。
1.高次元データの識別・判別問題について研究し、動径基底関数ネットワークに基づく汎化能力に優れた非線形判別手法を提案した。特に、正則化法によるモデルの推定法および情報量に基づくモデル評価規準を融合した非線形判別関数の構築法を提唱し、実際問題への適用を通してその有効性を検証した。
2.カオスを生み出す可能性をもつ非線形度の強い時系列データから、埋め込み次元、および遅れ時間を推定する方法を提案し、推定量の一致性等の性質について研究した。
3.2次元熱対流問題の分岐解の存在に対する計算機援用証明を検討し、これまで理論的に解明されていなかった分岐解の存在問題に数値的証明を与えることに成功した。
4.無限プラントル数を持つレイリー・ベナール方程式を基礎にしてモデリングがなされる地球内部のマントル対流について研究し、モデルの精度をあげるために流速の粘性係数に温度依存性を導入し、収束性の保証された有限要素コードを作成し3次元数値シミュレーションを行った。
5.順位統計量に基づく分布に依存しない信頼区間の構成法を研究し、その性質を調べ統計的リサンプリング法との比較をおこなった。
6.流体中の渦糸の3次元運動や3次元不安定性の漸近解析および数値解析を行い、曲率の効果により軸対称撹乱と屈曲撹乱が共鳴不安定を起こすことを初めて示した。
