研究概要

1ニワトリ軟骨のcDNAライブラリーより完全長のRGD-CAPcDNAをクローニングしてその構造を明らかにした(BBA in press)。興味深いことにRGD-CAPの4つの繰り返し配列の1つを有する細菌蛋白や2つを有する昆虫蛋白および4つの有する動物蛋白が数種類以上存在することをデータベースから発見した(BBA in press)。つまりRGD-CAPは進化の過程で、その繰り返し構造を増加させてきたことが判明した。
2ニワトリRGD-CAPに対する抗体を作製した。軟骨以外に各種の組織にこの蛋白が存在するため、現在さらに組織分布を検討している。
3リコンビナントBGD-CAPが各種の軟骨細胞および線維芽細胞に対する強力な接着因子であることが判明した。またその作用は抗インテグリン抗体およびEDTAによって抑制された(97年、生化学会)。
4さらにRGD-CAPの繰り返しを1つ、2つ、3つおよび4つ持つリコンビナント蛋白を作製した。これらの蛋白の一部に接着促進活性が存在することを見いだした(97年、生化学会)。
