群の作用する頂点作用素代数の研究

研究概要

平成9年度では階数2のA型ルート格子から定義される頂点作用素代数の中に位数3の対称性を持つ部分頂点作用素代数が存在することを示し、その性質を詳しく調べた.特にその自己同型群を決定し、またそれの既約表現を分類することができた.この研究で得られた成果は、共著論文Ternary codes and vertex operator algebrasにまとめてある.この研究の続きとして、ここで得られた頂点作用素代数とモンスター加群との関係を研究し、モンスター加群の自己同型群であるモンスターの性質にどのように反映されるかを調べることを、今後の課題としたい.また、平成9年度ではBorwein型の恒等式を頂点作用素代数の立場から研究した.結果を共著論文Borwein identity and vertex operator algebrasにまとめ、現在投稿中である.この成果と上記の結果をもとに、modular不変性と自己同型の関係を今後研究する計画である.
今年度は、階数が3以上のA型ルート格子から定義される頂点作用素代数の最高ウエイトベクトルのうちウエイトが2以下のものをすべて決定することができた.最高ウエイトベクトルがすべてわかれば、頂点作用素代数をヴィラソロ頂点作用素代数の既約加群のテンソル積の直和に分解することができて、頂点作用素代数を詳しく調べる手段が得られる.実際、階数2の場合には、上に述べたものとは別のある有理型の部分頂点作用素代数が存在することがわかり、その既約加群を組み合わせることで、位数4の対称性を持つ頂点作用素代数を構成することができた.さらに、最近階数が3の場合に最高ウエイトベクトルをすべて決定することができた.今のところ、階数が4以上の場合にはウエイトが2以下のものだけしかわかっていない.すべての最高ウエイトベクトルを決定することは、重要な課題である.
