研究概要

1. 項目11 研究発表 に掲載の論文3の概要
擬ユークリッド空間内のド・ジッター球面S^<n+1>_1(c)に埋め込まれた空間的なコンパクト超曲面Mのスカラー曲率γがγ≦n(n-1)cを満たすならば,MはS^nに限る.

Cliffordトーラスの特徴づけを与える次の結果を得た.
3. 項目11 研究発表 に掲載の論文の5の概要
(1) スカラー曲率γが非負の一定値でリッチ曲率が一定ノルムSな共形平坦3次元リーマン多様体は空間形かM^2(c)×R^1かM^2(c)×S^1である.
(2) スカラー曲率が負の一定値でリッチ曲率が一定ノルムな共形平坦3次元リーマン多様体は空間形かγ^2/3<S≦γ^2/2を満たすものしかない.
(3) スカラー曲率が負の一定値でリッチ曲率が一定ノルムな共形平坦3次元リーマン多様体は空間形かH^2(c)×R^1かH^2(c)×S^1であろう,と予想される.
この論文5の続き(PartII投稿中)で,上記項目(2)を改良した次の結果(それは上記項目(3)の我々の予想を肯定する結果でもある)を得ている:
スカラー曲率が負の一定値でリッチ曲率が一定ノルムな共形平坦3次元リーマン多様体は空間形かγ^2/3+(43/121)^2γ^2/6≦S≦γ^2/2を満たすものしかない.
4. 他の研究分担者の発表論文も合わせると計14編出版され,現在投稿中,ないし準備中の論文は少なくとも7編ある.
5. この研究課題の主テーマと位置付けている次の3つの未解決問題項目には残念ながら進展が見られなかった.今後も引き続き研究を進める:
(1) 3次元ユークリッド空間内の有言型曲面の決定問題
(2) n次元ユークリッド空間内の二重調和部分多様体の決定問題
(3) 4次元ミンコフスキー空間内の二重調和部分多様体の分類問題
