作用素環上のHilbert moduleの構造とその応用

研究概要

作用素論において、不変部分空間の理論が、関数空環上のHilbert moduleの概念で捉えられるように、この研究にはこれから研究が急務となる問題が数多くある。ここでは、Douglas-Paulsenによる関数環上のHilbert moduleの理論を詳細に考察して、作用素論の中で、特に、自己共約でない作用素論(例えば、subdiagonal環、Nest環、CSL環、解析的接合積等)上のHilbert moduleの構造について調べることは重要である。まず、subdiagonalの構造について調べた。富田-竹崎理論を用いて、極大subdiagonal環がモジュラー同型群に関して不変であることを示すことより、極大subdiagonal環の特徴付けを行った。その応用として、B(H)のsubdiagonal環はatomic nestを持つnest環以外にないことを示すとともに、可逆な作用素の分解定理に対しての結果を得た。これらの結果は、今後の研究に重要なものであり、多くの発展性をもっている。
関数環の立場からも、L^2(T^2)の不変部分空間の構造、commutatorの性質などの結果及びDouglas環についての構造など多くの結果を得ている。
また、代数学の研究者との共同研究により、純粋な代数学におけるmoduleの理論を詳細に研究している段階であるが、作用素環の中に新しい概念を導入し、更なる構造を調べる可能性が十分にあることが判明した。
凸解析学における最適化理論及び情報理論におけるEntropyの理論についても応用を試みている段階である。
