作用素環上のHilbert moduleの構造とその応用

研究概要

作用素環において、不変部分空間の構造理論は、関数空間上のHilbert moduleの概念で捉えられるように、この研究には多くの問題が数多く残されている。この研究ではDouglas-Paulsenによる関数環上のHilbert moduleの理論を詳細に考察して、作用素環の中で、特に、自己共役でない作用素環(例えば、subdiagonal環、nest環、CSL環など)の研究において、作用素環上のHilbert moduleの構造と考えて調べることは重要なことである。まず、subdiagonal環の構造について調べた。冨田-竹崎理論を用いて、極大subdiagonal環がモジュラー自己同型群に関して不変であることを示すことにより、極大subdiagonal環の特徴付けを行った。その応用として、B(H)のsubdiagonal環はatomic nestを持つnest環以外にないことを示した。更に、作用素の分解定理として、関数環におけるinner-outer分解の一般化としての分解定理について考察した。一般のsubdiagonal環においては、いつもその分解定理が成立しないが、弱い形の分解定理がいつも成立することを示すとともに、強い形の分解定理が成立するための同値条件を与えた。これらの結果は今後の研究に重要なものであり、多くの発展性を持っている。
関数環の立場からも、L^2(T^2)の不変部分空間の構造、commutatorの性質などの結果やDouglas環の構造について、moduleの立場で考察した。また、代数学や幾何学の研究者のの協力により、代数学におけるmoduleの理論の把握に努め、今後の研究に大きな基礎を固めた。
更に、凸解析学における最適化理論や情報理論におけるEntropy理論についても応用を試み、幾つかの成果を得ている。
