研究概要

地球観測衛星ランドサット5号から送信されるTMデータでは6つのバンドの地表面解像度は30m四方であるのに対し、熱画像では120m四方と画質が劣る.そこで、我々の研究グループは熱画像の値に高解像度バンドの線形結合を加えることにより熱画像を改良する手法を提案した。ところが、6つの高解像度バンドの中から本当に有効なバンドのみを選び出さないと最小2乗誤差の意味では改悪する現象があることがわかった。そこで情報量基準に基づいて画像選択を行うことを提案した。同時にこの手法は線形結合の係数を推定するための近傍の大きさをどのように選べばよいかも有用であることを示した。さらに、本手法を高解像度画像や熱画像を平均化して得られる疑似低解像度画像に適応することによって、本手法の有効性を確認した。
衛星データの解析に関連した研究として以下の成果を得た。
・衛星画像では、衛星の進行方向に垂直な帯状で観測するために、横縞のノイズがあらわれる。このノイズを低減させるためにベイズ線形回帰モデルを用いた。モノクロの画像では従来手法と比較し、有効性を確認した。本手法はカラー画像にも応用が可能であり、従来手法には無い特長を持つ。
・スペクトルデータから土地利用の判別を行なうには、高速な手法が求められる。そこで高速な3分木による判別法と、高精度な一次(二次)判別を組み合わせる手法を提案した。本手法は複数の土地利用が混ざっているミクセルの検出に有効であることが示された.
・森林と人口との関係を定量的に捉えるため,両者間に微分方程式モデルを仮定し,理論モデルを導出した.広島県の実データに種々のモデルを仮定した際,理論モデルが情報量基準より選ばれる事がわかった.
