事前情報に基づく統計的推測方式の研究

研究概要

統計的推測問題において、事前情報を活用する推測方式を導出することは重要な課題の一つである。研究代表者はデータ解析学の立場から、区間で与えられる事前情報のもとでの推測方式の研究を行った。平成9年度の研究では、区間事前情報に基づく2次元正規母集団の母平均ベクトルのMDI(Minimum Discrimination Information)推定量を求めた。つまり区間事前情報に基づく母平均ベクトルの推測方式は、Kullback-Leiblerの判別情報関数の条件付き最適化として定式化され、それは区間事前情報の条件の下で判別情報関数を最小にする推定量を求めることである。この推定量の有効性を実証するために平均2乗誤差に基づく効率を計算し、従来の推定量との比較を行った。その結果MDI推定量の有効性が示された。この研究成果は、1997年12月5日6日に韓国の済州大学で開催された第9回日韓統計会議で発表した。またこの研究成果をまとめた論文は「Journal of the Japanese Society of Computational Statistics」に採択され現在印刷中である。平成10年度の研究では、上記の研究成果をふまえ、収縮技法を取り入れた収縮MDI推定量について研究を行った。これらの研究成果は、1998年12月2日〜4日にフィリピンのマニラで開催された「The 3rd Conference on Statistical Computing of the Asian Regional Section」において発表した。この研究成果をまとめた論文は「Communications in Statistics:Theory and Methods」に現在投稿中である。
