rDNA解析によるうどんこ菌科(Erysiphaceae)の系統進化学的研究

研究概要

10種類のうどんこ病菌で今回新たに決定した18SrDNAの塩基配列およびD1、D2領域を含む28SrDNAの部分配列を用い、子嚢菌類内におけるウドンコカビ目(Erysiphales)の系統関係を推察した。系統解析の結果、ウドンコカビ目は他の子嚢菌類に対して明瞭なクレードを形成し、単一の祖先種から派生したことが示唆された。ホネタケ目のMyxotrichaceae科は他のホネタケ目の科とは遠縁で、ウドンコカビ目とともに一つのクレードを形成した。このErysiphales/MyxotrichaceaeクレードはLeotiales、Cyttariales,Thelebolaceaeなど、一部の盤菌類とも近縁であった。以前の形態的観察および今回の分子系統解析は閉子嚢殻を形成する一部の盤菌類からウドンコカビ目およびMyxotrichaceaeに至る新たな進化径路の存在を示唆している。しかしながら、うどんこ病菌以外の大部分の菌類は糞や植物体上に腐生的に生息する菌類であるため、ウドンコカビ目のような絶対寄生菌類がなぜどのようにして腐生菌から派生したのかは未解決の課題である。我々はさらに、18SrDNAの配列と既報の2種類の分子時計を用いて、うどんこ病菌の出現年代を推察した。その計算によれば、ウドンコカビ目とMyxotrichaceaeは1億9千〜1億3千万年前に分かれた。分子時計の不安定性を考慮に入れても、ウドンコカビ目の出現年代は2億3千万年前以前に遡ることはなかった。したがって、ウドンコカビ目の出現年代を被子植物の出現以降と考えることが出来るのではないか。我々の計算はまた、ウドンコカビ目内での最初の分岐時期(1億4千〜9千万年前)が被子植物の大規模な放散(1億3千〜9千万年前)と一致することを示した。これらの結果は、うどんこ病菌の進化が被子植物の進化と密接に関連しながら起こったのではないかという我々の推察を支持している。
