天体構造形成におけるトロイダル磁場の役割

研究概要	本研究では、3ヶ年計画で、超巨星・パルサー及び太陽圏外圏など様々な天体の巨視的な構造の形成にトロイダル磁場が重要な役割を担っていることを、個々の事例を積み重ねることにより明らかにすることを目的としている。このために本年度は、前年度に引き続き、(1)太陽圏外圏構造及び(2)超新星1987A周縁ガスのリング構造の解析を中心に研究を進めて来た。 3次元電磁流体的(MHD)スキーム及び図形表示システムを開発・改良し、スーパーコンピュータを用いて大規模シミュレーション解析を実行し、理論解析と併せて研究を進めた。 (1)については3次元太陽圏外圏ガスとトロイダル磁場を基本とする磁場構造及びそのダイナミックスについて、太陽11年周期活動に伴う磁場の極性の反転及び太陽風速度の変動に対する応答を組み入れて、シミュレーション解析することに成功した。これで得た磁場構造を用いて、銀河宇宙線の太陽系内部への侵入過程の解析の軌道計算も始め、初期的結果を得てた。これらの結果は学術誌及び国際会議集録に印刷中である。 (2)については最近の超高精度観測による超新星1987A周縁ガス構造の3リング構造についてトロイダル磁場による磁気圧効果によって基本的に解明出来た。この成果は国際会議にて発表され、現在その集録が印刷中である。 (1)及び(2)についての順調な研究の進展により、超新星周縁の天体プラズマ構造の形成にトロイダル磁場の重要性が確認され、本研究の当初の目的の達成に近づきつつある。
