顎運動における三叉神経上核および主感覚核ニューロンの生理、解剖学的特性の解明(単一ニューロン内電位記録法とHRP注入法を用いて)

研究概要	顎運動を支配する三叉神経運動ニューロンに投射する運動前ニューロンの役割には、未だ不明な点が多い。そこで本年度の研究では、三叉神経主感覚核(Vp)ニューロンの機能と形態との関連を解明し、更に、既に明らかになっている吻側核(Vo.r)ニューロンとの差異を検討し、これを総括することを目的とした。実験はネコを用い、in vivoにて機能を同定した単一ニューロン内にHRPを注入し、ニューロンを標識した。その結果、以下の事項が解明された。1)VpニューロンはVpの背内側亜核(Vpd)または腹外側亜核(Vpv)に位置し、幹軸索の分岐様態からclass Iとclass IIに二分される。2)class Iニューロンの幹軸索は分岐せず上行する。3)class IIニューロンは軸索側枝を持ち、幹軸索がclass Iと同様に上行するclass IIaと、上行しないclass IIbとに細分され得る。4)この側枝は主に三叉神経運動核に終止し、いわゆる局所回路を形成するが、Vp、Vo.rにはほとんど投射しない。5)三叉神経運動核への投射は、閉口筋運動核に対してであり、開口筋運動核には投射しない。6)class I、Ha、IIbニューロンの存在比率はVpd、Vpvの吻側部、尾側部で異なる。7)Vpニューロンの感覚受容野は狭く、1歯の歯根膜、1本の震毛に応答するものが存在する。以上より、Vo.rニューロンの機能と比較すると、Vpニューロンは、1)感覚の弁別能への関与がより強く、2)Vo.rニューロンと同様に、顎反射にも影響を与えるが、3)その影響は閉口筋運動ニューロンに対するものであることが解明された。更に、本研究を含む我々の一連の研究成果は、顎運動が各種の運動前ニューロンによって複雑精緻に支配されていることを示唆している。
