モデル系を用いた水溶液中の構造形成の解析

研究概要

1.試料の合成。
ドデシルジメチルアミンより対応するアミンオキシドであるDDAOを合成・精製した。冷却遠心機の使用により効率よく合成できた。
2.DDAO固体の示差走査熱量測定。
カチオン種(α_M=1)では91℃(T_1)付近と79℃(T_2)付近に吸熱ピークが存在した。T_1以下では干渉色が観測され、T_2は融点であった。120℃までは安定で、分解点に対応する発熱ピークは123℃付近であった。T_1/℃=79。【.upper filled triangle.】H_1/kJmol^<-1>=32.8。【.upper filled triangle.】S_1/JK^<-1>mol^<-1>=94。半塩酸塩(α_M=0.5)は46℃(T_1)と66℃(T_2)付近に二つの吸熱ピークがあり、130℃までは融解せず、分解点は139℃付近であった。半塩酸塩はカチオン種より安定で液体状態では存在せず、分解点も高い。非イオン種は無定形の非晶状態にある。
半塩酸塩とカチオン種以外では、異なる組成(α_Mが0〜1まで0.1きざみ)の試料のDSCを測定した。α_Mが0.6〜0.9の場合、吸熱ピークが4本程度観測された。半塩酸塩相とカチオン種の相の二相系として解釈できる。他方α_Mが0〜0.4の場合、半塩酸塩に対応した吸熱ピークのみが観測され、それらの大きさがα_Mと共に増加した。この場合も非イオン種と半塩酸塩に対応した二相系と考えられる。このように非イオン種、半塩酸塩とカチオン種(塩酸塩)が安定な分子種であることが結論され、これは溶液中のミセル形成或いは気一液界面からの結論と良く一致する。
3.低イオン強度下でのミセル形成のpH(ミセル組成)依存性。
無添加塩系ではcmcは最小値を示さず、α_M<0.3でほぼ一定、α_M>0.4で急激に増大した。α_M>0.8の領域でのcmcの減少は添加された塩酸が塩として作用する効果に基づく。異なるα_Mにおけるミセルの自由エネルギーを比較する方法を提案し、それに基づき、α_Mが0.3-0.4の間で急激に3倍程度に増加することを示した。
