研究概要	本研究は活性金属の化学マニュピュレーションのに関する新研究領域として(1)超微細加工手法(2)鋳型設計法の開拓(3)金属錯形成を利用する高次組織化による機能集積化など、金属材料の精密加工化学の研究分野を中心に、研究分担者と関連分野の研究者からなる全体会議(シンポジウム)を平成9年10月30,31日に札幌で開催した。以下にあげる4つの研究課題で特徴づけられる研究分野の成果の横断的取りまとめと情報交換や問題点の抽出を行った。今後の重点領域への進展を計るべく、本研究分野の研究連絡、情報収集のため2回のミニ班会議を開催した。また活性金属の化学マニュピュレーションの展開に必要な分子操作原理・分子設計手法の確立と、磁性及び光・電子や触媒機能の発現を指向する機能集積化学に関する接点的研究を促すべく研究者の交流、共同研究の推進、研究討議など有機的総合的運営がなされ、本研究分野の具体的展開に向けて有意義な企画研究を推進することができた。(1)超高純度活性金属の創製とそのマニュピュレーション(活性金属の超高純度化と不働態化を含めた形態制御マニュピュレーション技術)(2)クラスター化による超活性金属の集積機能材料の設計(ミクロ空間反応場を利用する金属・合金微粒子やナノ細線の鋳型合成及び分子操作法とクラスター分子操作方の展開)(3)錯形成を利用する活性金属の分子操作と機能展開(活性金属の単一あるいは複合金属錯体を利用して、活性金属の超微粒子、超薄膜や交互積族構造体を創製し、従来のバルク金属にはない反応性及び物性を解明する。)(4)活性金属の組織化と物性制御(アルカリ土類あるいは希土類金属を中心とした活性合金あるいは金属間化合物の微細加工技術を確立し、そのナノコンポジットのミクロ組織化制御)
