研究概要	総括班および6研究班を組織し、総括班は国際シンポジウムと公開成果発表会を開催し研究の統合推進と交流を図り、6研究班は以下の成果を収めた。研究班1:PAF-アセチルヒドロラーゼのノックアウト個体、セラミド輸送体の変異細胞株、ホスファチジルエタノールアミン合成変異細胞株を作成し、プロスタグランジンによるCOX2を介したPGF2α受容体の発現誘導、過酸化水素によるPLDの活性化機構を明らかにした。研究班2:肝細胞におけるSyk、PLCδ4スプライシングアイソホームの存在を見いだし、AMPA受容体と会合するLynの下流でのMAPキナーゼの活性化およびIQGAPの細胞間接着部位への局在を明らかにした。研究班3:PKCの細胞内ターゲッティング、新規結合蛋白質の解析を実施した。PKCγの代謝型グルタミン酸受容体を介した活性化、アポトーシス刺激によるPKNの活性型への断片化、Axinによるβ-カテニンの分解誘導、アミノ酸によるp70S6キナーゼのリン酸化制御を明らかにした。研究班4:Ranの核一細胞質問物質輸送への関与、PKCηの扁平上皮終末分化における役割、膜結合型HB-EGFから遊離型への変換によるSTAT3活性化と細胞遊走性の惹起、PI3キナーゼのヒト印環細胞癌の発生への関与を明らかにした。研究班5:RasやTRXが細胞死を調節する機構を示し、Fasを介するアポトーシス誘導に必須の新規分子FLASHをクローニングした。胎児期のパイエル板構築に必須のサイトカインを明らかにし、NK様T細胞の新たな機能や新しいT細胞亜群の存在を示した。研究班6:血管内皮細胞でのLPCによるc-jun遺伝子の転写調節機構、平滑筋細胞でのミオシン脱リン酸化酵素による収縮増強作用、新規MAP kinase Pmk1の制御機構を明らかにし、NOSIII過剰発現マウスにてNOによる血管機能制御機構の解析を行なった。
