研究概要	核子やハイペロン間の近距離相互作用はクォークの自由度等バリオンの構造の影響が現れるため理解が不十分である。本研究ではハイペロン核子相互作用の中で特に近距離での相互作用に起源をもつと考えられる(1)Λ・ハイパー核のスピン軌道力の測定、(2)ハイパー核の非中間子崩壊におけるパリティ非保存と逆反応の研究を行った.(1)Λハイパー核のスピン軌道力は小さいことが知られていたが実験的に値が求まっていなかった。我々は^<13>_ΛCを(K^-,π^-)反応で生成し、そのスピン軌道ペア状態のエネルギー差をγ線で測定した.これにより、磁気スペクトロメータによる今までの測定を大きく超える精度で測定できた。実験は現在世界で最高のK中間子ビーム強度が得られるBNLで行った。ビームタイムは98年に2ケ月あったが準備と整理に前後1年づつを要した。つい最近結果が得られ、Λハイパー核のスピン軌道力は一般の原子核の30〜40分の1と極端に小さいことを決定した。これはクォーク模型を基礎にした相互作用の予言と一致しており、クォークの自由度が明確に現れた例となった。現在投稿論文を準備中である.(2)ハイパ一核の非中間子崩壊でパリティの破れを明らかにした。更に2体のバリオン間の弱相互作用を解明するために逆反応(pn→pΛ)の測定の準備を行った。弱い相互作用でストレンジネスを生成する実験である。検出器の一部を製作してテスト実験を行い、難しいが実現性が高いことを明らかにした。
