有機金属錯体を出発原料とする新しい機能性ナノサイズセラミックスの調整と応用

研究概要

愛媛大学工学部とイタリアのローマ大学"Tor Vergata"との共同で、有機金属錯体の熱分解による機能性複合酸化物の合成について研究を行なった。まず、多核複金属有機錯体を合成し、これを熱分解することによりペロブスカイト型複合酸化物を得る新しい合成法について検討を行なった。材料としては、LaMn-系,LaFe-系などについて、特に低温における複合酸化物の生成挙動を調べた。その結果、LaMn-系では600℃で結晶化が始まり、この温度では約20nmの均質微粒子が得られた。LaFe-系は、希土類とFeの系で最も低温で複合酸化物を形成することがわかっており、350℃の低温で長時間焼成することによりLaFeO_3微粒子が得られている。さらに、3成分の錯体の熱分解を行ない、La_<1-x>Sm_xFeO_3、YBa_2Cu_3O_7などの様々な複合酸化物の均質微粒子が合成され、その結晶のキャラクタリゼーションがなされた。さらに、この方法で、SmFeO_3を合成しNO_2ガスセンサへ応用したところ、一般的に用いられる固相反応法により得たものよりもかなり優れたセンサ材料になりうることが明かになり、表面分析の結果より多核錯体法で作製した方が、吸着サイトの数が多く均質性が優れていた。一方、ゾルーゲル法により新しいNa^+イオン伝導体の開発も行ない、極めて緻密で伝導度の高いセラミック固体電解質を作製した。これを用いて、CO_2ガスセンサへ応用したところ優れた起電力応答が得られた。
