研究概要

平成12年度の夏季のおしょろ丸調査航海では、6月18日〜8月2日のアラスカ湾西経165度線、西経145度線、および南東ベーリング海においての調査研究実績の概要を以下にまとめた。
1.ベーリング海において,CTDによる物理環境調査および採水による基礎生産の現場測定と衛星情報との照合に関する共同研究では、ベーリング海においてココリス(円石藻類)の大発生に遭遇し、衛星観測に同期した船舶観測を実施した。
2.ベーリング海において、基礎生産量の測定を実施した。
3.各種プランクトンネットによるプランクトン群集構造の種組成と定量評価を実施した。
4.海洋生活期におけるサケマス類の鱗・体内微量金属類による成長履歴解析を実施した。
5.アラスカ湾およびベーリング海においてボンゴネットを用い頭足類の幼生採集を実施した。
6.アラスカ湾において,中層トロールによるマイクロネクトンの採集を実施した。
おしょろ丸寄港地ビクトリア(カナダ)の海洋研究所において2000年7月19日にワークショップ"Marine Ecological studies in the Bering Sea and eastern North Pcific"を開催した。コンビーナは齋藤誠一・志賀直直・John R.Bower(北大)、David L.Mackas(IOS/DFO Canada)、Skip McKinnell(PICES)の5名であった。ベーリング海の共同研究観測を終了しダッチハーバー下船後、齋藤は2000年8月4日、アラスカ大学フェアバンクス校においてVera Alexander水産海洋学部長と当該共同研究の今後進め方について打ち合わせを行った。
