研究概要

佐藤(泰)らは論理プログラムと統計のEM学習アルゴリズムを融合させた統計的記号モデリング言語PRISMの開発を進め、分子遺伝学からの問題に適用した。
有村らは幾つかの仮定の下での非循環的論理プログラムの多項時間学習可能性を示す一方、テキストデータからのデータマイニングアルゴリズムに向けて近接語相関パタン言語に対する高速なパターン探索アルゴリズムを開発実装を行なった。
月本らは線形判別関数のブール関数近似という手法を開発し、脳画像を使った疾患判定の問題に応用し、有効性を確かめた。
谷内田らは、CCMAという仮説推論メカニズムを使った事象の共起関係に基づく未知事象の発見手法を開発し、地震履歴の解析に応用し、有効性を確認した。
古川らは最新のILPシステムであるProgolを自然言語の名詞の学習に応用する一方、Muggletonの逆伴意法の理論的欠陥を修正する方法を発表した。
山本らは同様な問題意識から理論的欠陥のない底節交差汎化法を開発し、理論的検討を行なった。
原口らは既存知識の組合わせによる知識発見の立場からIntelligentPadの基本部品からの合成問題を考察し、ILPとして論理プログラムの枠組で定式化し、合成手法を開発した。
佐藤(優)らは、極限同定出来ない場合は仮説空間全体を棄却する反駁推論の理論的研究を進め、パターン言語上の決定木が定める言語族の論駁推論に関する幾つかの肯定的結果を得た。
篠原(武)らは線形モード基本形式系 (EFS)に基づく正例からの翻訳学習の可能性について検討した。また帰納の基礎となるデータ検索の観点から多次元データをユークリッド空間に埋め込み、射影によりデータ検索を行なう方法を開発した。
田中らは帰納推論の結果得られるモデルの選択基準として、有限長の観測データとモデルに基づいた確率的複雑さ基準を提案し、理論的考察を行なった。
