研究概要	1. 新規多糖誘導体として、セルロースやアミロースのシクロヘキシル及びノルボルニルカルバメート誘導体、及びキチンのフェニルカルバメート誘導体を合成し、高速液体クロマトグラフィー(HPLC)用キラル固定相に用いてその光学分割能を評価した。その結果、いずれも高い光学分割能を有し、芳香環を有していないアルキルカルバメート誘導体では、薄層クロマトグラフィー用キラル固定相へも応用可能であることを見出した。また、多糖誘導体の中で最も高い光学分割能を有する誘導体の一つである、アミローストリス(3,5-ジメチルフェニルカルバメート)の構造解析を二次元NMRにより行い、分子モデリングを併用することにより、そのモデルを構築することに成功し、さらにその不斉識別機構について、HPLC及びNMRを用いて詳細に検討を行った。(岡本) 2. 分子キラリティー認識の新規円二色性法の開発と応用を目的に、単一官能基キラル分子の絶対配置を励起子カイラリティー法で決定する新規戦略を立て、その方法を次のように開発した。(1)CD補助基として2個の(1-ナフチル)基をもつアキラル系を設計。(2)このCD補助基を単一官能基のキラル分子にエステルあるいはエーテル結合で結合。 (3)キラリティーが伝播し、2個のナフタレン発色団はキラル立体配座を取る。(4)ねじれに対して励起子分裂型コットン効果が観測。(5)分子力場計算などで配座解析し、発色団間のねじれを理論的に決定。(6)実測CDと比較し、絶対配置を非経験的に決定できた。(原田) 3. 研究課題に関係して調整班会議を開催し、各研究者の進捗状況及び今後の研究の進め方について討論した。
