研究概要

標題にある構造体の形成とそれらの構造解析を目指し,それぞれのグループでの研究をさらに進めた。「設計・合成グループ」では,分子量,分子量分布、立体構造の制御されたポリ(N,N-ジエチルアクリルアミド)(PDEAA)の合成法を確立した。ポリ(HEMA)の類似体として水酸基を保護したメタクリル酸2-(2'-ヒドロキシエトキシ)エチルおよびメタクリル酸2-(2'(2''-ヒドロキシエトキシ)エトキシ)エチルのアニオンリビング重合と脱保護反応により、分子量、分子量分布の制御された水溶性高分子を得、また、これらのモノマーとスチレンから両親媒性ブロック共重合体を合成した。一方、環歪みをもつ感情オニウム塩(5員環アンモニウム)型テレケリクスの多分子会合体形性能に着目し、ポリエチレングリコールおよびポリスチレンの末端基として導入した。さらにこれら新奇テレケリクスの自己組織化と環状オニウム塩の開環反応プロセスを用いて、単環状および複環状高分子化合物群の高効率合成を検討した。「解析グループ」では、上で得られたPDEAAの水溶液中での会合挙動を光錯乱でさらに詳しく調べ、PDEAA会合体は水溶液中での会合体形成によるミクロゲル状の構造体であることを明らかにした。また、単分子会合体の解析用モデル共重合体としてポリメチルメタクリレート鎖を枝としPDMAを主鎖としたグラフト共重合体を合成した。一方、水及び有機溶媒混合系における高分子の会合挙動に対する、イオン性基、親水性基、疎水性基の効果を、正及び負に荷電した高分子ゲル形について調べ、いずれもイオンクラスター形成に顕著な対イオン種依存性を見出した。なお、構造解析が複雑化により計算処理速度を上げるためのパーソナルコンピューターが緊急に必要になったので予定はなかったがこれを購入して対処した。
