TiAl基高クリープ強度DS(一方向凝固)合金の開発とその実証的クリープ試験

研究概要	TiAl/Ti_3Al二相ラメラ組織を有するTiAl合金の力学特性における異方性、特にラメラ界面と荷重軸とが平行になるとき強度・延性・靭性のバランスが最も優れることを積極的に利用するため、ラメラ界面が結晶育成方向に平行に整列した組織を実現する一方向凝固プロセスの研究を行った。その成果に基づき種結晶を用いて整列ラメラ組繊を有するTi-43Al-3Si(at.%)合金の作製に成功し、750℃,240MPaにおいて最小クリープ速度8.5×10^<-10>s^<-1>という、従来のTiAl合金を遥かに凌駕する結果を得た。本年、整列ラメラ組織を保ったまま、脆弱な粗大シリサイド粒子の発生を抑制するなどの組織改善に加え、合金元素を添加することにより、高温強度、室温延性、耐酸化性のすべてに優れる一方向凝固用TiAl基合金を開発することを試みた。得られた結果を以下に要約する。 (1)Ti-43.5Al-3Si-0.5Re合金とTi-43Al-3Si合金の組織およびクリープ特性を比較し、Re添加がTiAl合金の高温強度改善に有効であることを明らかにした。 (2) Si添加量を0.5%まで低減したTi-46Al-0.5Si-0.5X(X=Re,W,Mo)合金の一方向擬固組織には、粗大シリサイド粒子は存在せず、高温強度および室温延性が大幅に向上する。Re,W,Mo添加合金の、750℃,240MPaにおける最小クリープ速度はそれぞれ1.3×,2.0×,3.4×10^<-10>s^<-1>であり、室温における引張伸びはそれぞれ3.8,20,24%であった。 (3) これらのTi-46Al-0.5Si-0.5X(X-Re,W,Mo)合金の900℃における耐酸化性は不十分であり、Nb添加による耐酸化性の増強を必要とする。 (4) Ti-46Al-0.5Si-0.5Re合金にさらにCを添加し特性の改善を図ったが、本系ではC添加による高温強度、室温延性の改善は認められなかった。 (5) Ti-44Al-0.5C-0.5Re-0.5Si合金に3at%Nbを添加し、耐酸化性試験(900℃)を行なって、Nbの添加が整列ラメラ組織を有するTiAl合金の耐酸化性改善に有効であることを確認した。
