研究概要

(1)坂内悦子(研究代表者)は宗政昭弘との共同研究において有限アーベル群上に作られた2-weightスピンモデルを分類してそれらが巡回群上のスピンモデルもしくは、位数が同じ2の巾である2つの巡回群の直積となっている群上のスピンモデル達の直積となっていることを発見した。この成果は坂内英一が提唱している有限アーベル群上のコードを具体的に定義し実際に見つけるために現在使われつつある。
(2)野村和正はJaeger,Matsmotoとの共同研究において任意の2weightスピンモデルは自己双対的なアソシエーションスキームのBose-Mesner代数のモジュラー不変公式の解からつくられることを発見しさらにJaegerとの共同研究においてスピンモデルの指数(index)という概念を定義した。本質的に非対称な2weightスピンモデルは指数が2の巾となることを示し実際にHadanrd行列を利用して本質的に非対称な2weightスピンモデルの例を与えた。2weightスピンモデルの分類に対する大きな指針を与えている。
(3)坂内悦子は澤野光弘との共同研究においてcyclic modelまたはPotts modelの行列とtypeII同値な4-weightスピンモデルはすべてcyclic modelまたはPotts modelとgauge同値であることを証明しサイズが5の4-weightスピンモデルが知られたものしかないことを示した。この結果は現在サイズが小さい4-weightスピンモデルの分類に利用されつつある。
(4)坂内悦子は現在Jaeger-Matsmoto-野村の理論を4-weightスピンモデルに応用する研究を行っており、4-weightスピンモデルに付随しているアソシエーションスキームのBose-Mesner代数の相互関係についてかなり解明できる結果を得つつある。
スピンモデル、アソシエーションスキームおよびそのモジュラー不変性の研究は伊藤達郎のTerwilliger代数の研究、坂内英一の不変式、モジュラー形式などの研究と関係しあいながら現在進められている。
