低次元銅酸化物における電荷とスピンの長距離秩序の研究(超伝導発現機構との関わり

研究概要

1.La系高温超伝導体La_<2-x-y>Nd_ySr_xCu0_4の単結晶を育成し、電気伝導の非線形効果を調べた結果、x=1/8(Cuあたりのホール濃度p=1/8)の試料では非線形効果は観測されず、電荷とスピンのストライプ秩序のためにホールがかなり強く局在していることが推察された。
2.CuサイトをZnで部分置換したBi系高温超伝導体Bi_2Sr_2Ca_<1-x>Y_x(Cu_<1-y>Zn_y)_2020_8とY系高温超伝導体YBa_2Cu_<8-2y>Zn_<2y>0_<7-β>についてμSR実験を行ったところ、p〜1/8の試料において低温でCuスピンのゆらぎのスローイングダウンが観測された。この結果から、Bi系やY系においても、p〜1/8では電荷とスピンのストライプ秩序がZnによってピン止めされかかっている可能性が高いことが分かった。Bi系高温超伝導体においては、ホール効果の実験からもこの可能性が高いことが示唆された。したがって、1/8異常はLa系に特有の現象ではなく、Cu0_2面をもつ高温超伝導体に共通の現象であると結論できた。
3.昨年度、La_<2-x>Sr_xCu_<1-y>Zn_yO_4のオーバードープ領域のx=0.19-0.22あたり超伝導が特異的に抑制されることを多結晶試料で発見したが、今年度はそのような単結晶試料の育成に成功した。この組成のあたりで電荷とスピンの秩序が形成されている可能性が高いことが推察された。
4.スピン梯子格子系Sr_<14-x>A_xCu_<24-y>M_yO_<41>(A=Ca,La:M=Zn,Ni)の単結晶試料を育成し、熱伝導を詳細に測定した結果、梯子方向にスピンが運ぶ巨大な熱伝導が観測された。その温度依存性を解析することにより、梯子格子におけるスピンギャップとホールのペアリングに関する情報を得ることに成功した。
