研究概要	前年度にて遂行された小研究項目に引き続き、さらに得られた成果を発展させ、以下に示す新たな研究成果を得た。なお、本研究で開発、使用された「超長作動距離多焦点観察システム」は、各焦点毎の画像を多数枚コンピューターに取り込み開発された計算機ソフトウェアーによって画像処理され、最終的に「三次元画像を構築」することが出来た。本装置によって、凹凸に富んだ結晶成長時のin-situ、in-vibo光学的観察が可能となる事が示された。このことが本研究課題の内部的に最も大きな成果である。(特許申請が検討されている。) 外部的には、本装置を凝縮プラズマ系の物質合成や物質変換時に分光装置等と組み合わせることにより、チタンの窒化過程が研究された。即ち、窒化反応に伴う成長過程では、Nラディカル種よりもNHラディカル種が支配的である事を、結晶成長時の三次元構築画像の観察と分光学的な解析から示した。さらに、プラズマ炎中の分光学的な温度分布をも求めることが出来た。これらの実験的な結果から、チタンの窒化機構についての水素の役割を確実なものとして見いだしたので、SIMS12の国際会議で一連の結果が発表された。本研究において確立された結晶成長微細機構のin-situ,in-vibo解明に関する実験的手法の構築は、甚だ応用範囲が広く、電気化学的な物質の析出、同溶出、生物学的なin-vibo観察、超高温や反応性ガス中等の極端・末端条件下のin-situ観察等に新しい局面を拓き、現在までの静的な実権からは得られぬ新しい情報を提供することが出来る。現在纏めつつある純銀樹枝状晶の成長解析、代表的なプラズマ反応生成であるダイヤモンドの析出過程にとって強力な手段となった。未だ未完成ながら、本補助金によって略そのめどを付けることが出来たので、本年度から、宇宙用の新しい研究機器として、用いることを念頭に報告書の作成に全力を注いでいる。
