大気中における酸素濃度の超精密測定法の開発に関する研究

研究概要	本研究で試作した装置は、検出部に質量分析計を採用し、ガラス製試料導入部、精密導入圧調整部、測定データ処理部から構成されている.試料導入部と検出部の間は内径25mmのフューズドシリカキャピラリーで接続した.これにより、試料空気の流れが気体成分分別の起こる分子流とならず、しかも試料空気を大気圧で導入できるという2条件を同時に満足させることが可能になった.本装置を高精度化する過程で、空気試料の導入法の違いにより酸素濃度が130per megも変化することが明らかになった.そこで、分別が起こらない操作を実験的に見出した.また,試料が流れる配管の低温部に酸素が濃縮することも明らかになった.そのため、装置を空調した部屋に設置し、熱容量の小さいキャピラリー部を断熱材で2重に被覆した.さらに、イオン化の際に二酸化炭素から生成される一酸化炭素が酸素濃度測定の基準となっている窒素分子に対して妨害成分となること、すなわち等質量分子の干渉効果が見い出された.そこで、二酸化炭素濃度と酸素濃度の関係を実験的に求め、実試料測定の際の補正に用いることにした. 本装置によって求められる酸素濃度は、ある標準試料に対する相対値であるため、基準となる安定した標準ガスが必要となる。本研究においては、容積47lの4本の高圧シリンダーに除湿した外気を充填し、それを標準ガスとした。標準ガスの相互検定を頻繁に行い、各々の酸素濃度の長期安定性について調べた。今日までの相互比較の結果からは、明瞭な濃度ドリフトは見られず、全てのガスが±20per meg以内で安定しており、標準ガスとして十分に使用に耐えることが明らかになった。本計測法の総合分析精度は、119回に及ぶ標準ガスの相互検定を基にして評価され、標準偏差で±9.6per meg、標準誤差にして約±5.6per megであった。
