微量大気化学物質の地球規模全球モデルの開発と応用

研究概要	地球規模での人為および自然化学物質の大気排出が対流圏大気の組成にどう影響するかを予測できる全球モデルの開発を行った。(1)発展途上国における化石燃料使用の急速な増加、(2)農耕等に端を発する大規模な森林火災、(3)航空機による下部成層圏での窒素酸化物等の排出、(4)水田や家畜からのメタン等の人為的な微量化学物質の排出、(5)雷放電による窒素酸化物排出、(6)植物起源の炭化水素排出、(7)火山によるいおう化合物等の排出の影響を模擬できる。モデルは、輸送過程(移流・拡散・サブグリッドスケールの積雲対流)、化学反応(気相系、異相系、液相)、沈着(雲生成・降水生成に基づく湿性沈着、乾性沈着)の各プロセスを含む包括的なオイラー型全球モデルである。光分解速度定数(J値)に対するエアロゾル層、雲水層、雲水層存在の影響を考慮できるようになっている。全球モデルの検証のために、平成11年度に部分球モデルで対象とした1994年9-10月のオーストラリア、インドネシアのバイオマス火災を取り上げた。再び、クアラルンプール(マレーシア)、ワトコセ(インドネシア)におけるオゾンの鉛直分布観測値と比較する形で、オーストラリア、インドネシアのバイオマス燃焼の影響が、広域の輸送特性とによってどう伝達されるかを考察した。その結果、ワトコセで観測されたオゾンの極値のうち、部分球モデルでは説明できなかった高度6-7kmの対流圏中層でのものが、南半球の高緯度(南緯30度付近)から、高気圧に伴う南風によって輸送されたものであることが示された。南半球中緯度のオゾンはアフリカでのバイオマス排出から生成したもの、および成層圏からの流入を含むものであることがわかった。以上、全球モデルによって、インドネシアでのオゾンの形成について全地球的なセンスで明らかにできるなど、モデルの有効性を示せた。
