研究概要	【1】ワークステーション上に開設したインターネットスクールの完成初年度、ワークステーション上にWWWサーバーを立ち上げ開設したインターネットスクール「三重仮想大学-Mie Virtual University」がほぼ完成した。当初予定していた中学生向けの「自然と人間」および大学生向けの「宇宙・地球の誕生と自然の構造」に、市民向けの講座「量子と宇宙」「量子と波」および「量子・宇宙・ひも」を追加した。また、大学生または大学院生向けの「あべちゃんの物理学講座」そして大学院生向けの「Introduction to High energy Physics」および「Topics on High Energy Physics」も開設した。その他、研究会報告「非摂動論的弦模型と世代構造」も掲載した。「三重仮想大学」の中に開設した「MOVIES-動画再生コーナー」でも各種講演のテープ等のデジタル化が進行し、全部で15講座を放映するまでになった。1997年に開催された三重大学学術文化祭での芦原講演「小説とぼく」と共通教育シンポジウム「新しい共通教育を考える」および三重大学生物資源学部公開講座として開講された10講座の放映に加えて、総合科目「宇宙・地球の誕生と自然の構造」の中で最終年度に実施した6イベントの内の3つ実験「光の不思議」「水中に花を咲かそう」および「石から水を作ろう」の様子も放映した。【2】高等・中等教育における教育実践研究前述の総合科目「宇宙・地球の誕生と自然の構造」の開講に加えて、三重大学教育学部附属中学校への出前授業を実施した。すなわち、1年の「総合的な学習」の時間を利用し、三重大学の先生たちが描くヒトと宇宙のドラマ「自然と人間」と題して「トンボと宇宙」「宇宙をつかまえる」「いきものと地球」および「いのちと文明」の4コースを同時に開講し、選択履修してもらった。8月に開講した「中学生のインターネット講座」には60名が参加し、インターネットスクール利用者が拡張した。
