高分解能電子線ホログラフィー法による金属中の原子空孔及び微小集合体観察法の開発

研究概要	本研究で開発している高分解能電子線ホログラフィー技法及び高分解能電子顕微鏡観察法を次の研究に応用した。我々は平成11年度に日本原子力研究所核融合中性子工学(FNS)施設において室温付近の温度制御中性子照射実験を行った。照射量は以前に日米協力事業核融合分野研究で米国のLLNL国立研究所のRTNS-II施設で行ったものより低照射量で10^<16>n/cm^2以下であり、照射時の試料温度は15℃であった。電子顕微鏡観察は原研より広島大学にDT中性子照射した純金と純銀の試料を送り返して行った。その結果、以前の同種の実験結果とはかなり異なり極低照射量では純金では格子間原子集合体が主であり100nmより薄い試料部においてのみ回折コントラストで観察可能な原子空孔集合体(積層欠陥四面体)が形成している事が明らかになった。格子間原子集合体は以前に本研究代表者がRTNS-IIで極低温DT中性子照射してクライオ・トランスファー電顕観察により観察したものと同種で格子間原子集合体独特の動的な挙動を示す。純銀では格子間原子集合体と積層欠陥四面体に緩和した原子空孔集合体が観察された。この実験により得られた重要な結果は10^<15>n/cm^2以下のような極低照射した試料では以前の観察結果のような高エネルギー第一ノックオン原子によるサブ・カスケード構造を反映していると結論されている格子間原子集合体と原子空孔集合体のグループ形成が全く観察されないと言う結果が得られた。即ち、このようなグループ形成はカスケード損傷のサブカスケード構造によるよりは形成した点欠陥の歪場を通しての移動による集合形成と結論できる。この過程は核融合炉、核分裂型原子炉などの様に非常に高密度の損傷点欠陥が形成する場合には非常に重要な損傷組織発達の基礎過程となる。
