研究概要	本特定領域研究では、高次複雑系免疫システムの情報伝達制御機構の解明と、その異常による免疫疾患の発症機構を明らかにするために以下の研究項目を設定している。 A01:抗原非特異的分子による情報伝達制御 A02:抗原認識のシグナル変換機構 A03:免疫システム構築の情報伝達制御本総括班の目的は、1)上記の研究項目それぞれの年次ごとの研究評価を行い、計画立案に対する助言や計画に従って成果が蓄積されているか否かを厳密にチェックする、2)各々の研究項目の研究者が密な連携をもって、相補的に、また相互活性化しながら、研究を推進するように、公開シンポジウムの開催、研究資材の交換・共通な研究支援体制を確立する、3)情報公開を積極的に推進するなど、時機をえた柔軟な活動を行うことである。平成13年度は、6月26日に第一回総括班会議を、平成14年2月19日に第二回総括班会議を開催し、本特定領域研究の研究評価並びに研究計画に対する検討を行った。第一回班会議においては、平成13年度の方針を決めるとともに、平成14年2月19日に第二回公開シンポジウムを開催することを決定した。又、公開シンポジウムの講演者の決定を行った。ニュースレターNo.4(平成13年6月)、No.5(平成13年12月)を発刊した。情報の公開を促進する目的でホームページを開設し、内容の更新を随時行った。さらに、平成15年2月に国際シンポジウムを開催することを決定し、プログラム委員会を設置した。平成13年12月13日に第一回、平成14年2月19日に第三回のプログラム委員会を開催し、招待講演者の人選を行い、海外から30名、日本から24名のシンポジストの候補者を選び、招待状を発送した。遺伝子操作動物用ベントラック一台を購入し、各種遺伝子改変マウスの系統維持を行うために、マウス飼育ラックを一台購入した。また、各研究室間の情報交換を円滑にするために、コンピューターを購入した。平成14年2月19日に開催した第三回公開シンポジウムには、本特定領域研究への直接の参加者以外にも約50名の参加者があり、本特定領域研究のさらなる発展に有用な研究結果の情報交換と討論が活発に行われた。
