研究概要	本年度は最終年度に当たり、以下の2点に重点をおき研究を進めた. (1)ステーションの研究終了後の運用方針の決定と、それに向けた相手側との交渉、スペアパーツなどの整理、データの収集と公開方法の決定.基本的には、研究終了後も別予算を獲得し、運用を続けることとし、各ステーションごとにそのための準備を行った. この結果、今年度のデータ取得に加え、5年程度にわたる年々変化を求めることができるような観測態勢の確立がなされた. (2)データセンターの充実とデータ公開.昨年度より進めてきたデータセンターの充実をさらに進めた.この結果、1998-1999年のデータに関しては、ほぼ全ステーションのデータを公開するめどがついたところである.また、これまでに一部欠けていたステーションの記述、データセットの記述ファイルについても、全てを同じフォーマットで揃えるようにつとめ、ほぼ年度内に完成する予定である.また、本研究においては、データセンターでのデータ公開はインターネット上に限られていたが、今後発展途上国に向けたデータ発信、より使いやすいセットのデータセットの構築を目指すため、データCD-ROM化の可能性の検討が進められ、そのための研究費の申請が行われた.
