遷移金属錯体の構造と反応性の相関の解明

研究概要

我々はヒドロトリスピラゾリルボレート(Tp^R)を配位子とする酸化反応鍵中間体の合成研究を行っている。その結果世界に先駆け、ペルオキソ、ジオキソ、ヒドロ(あるいはアルキル)ペルオキシド中間体を含む一連の錯体の合成・構造決定に成功してきた。本研究ではアルキルペルオキソニッケル錯体の合成並びに構造決定に成功し、β位の酸素原子が金属と相互作用するη_2型の寄与があることを明らかにした。この錯体は自己分解によって配位子の炭化水素部分をアルコール基質に酸素化するほか、PPh_3やベンズアルデヒド類などの外部基質も酸素化する能力を有することを見出した。ニッケルおよびコバルト錯体の反応の速度論的研究を行った結果、高原子価架橋ジオキソ錯体の反応性(Ni>Co)とアルキルペルオキソ錯体の反応性(Co>Ni)が逆転することが明らかとなり、これらの結果は金属d軌道のエネルギーレベルならびにη^2配位の寄与を考慮することにより解釈できる。
異種金属を含む架橋ペルオキソ錯体合成にも着手し、パラジウムヒドロペルオキシド錯体とニッケルおよびコバルトヒドロキソ錯体が反応して新たな活性種を生成することを見出した。現在単離・構造決定には至っていないが、今後配位子の立体的・電子的影響を系統的に変化させて、生成物の単離を行う予定である。このほかヒドロトリスピラゾリルボレートを配位子とする系統的酸素錯体合成研究の一環として前周期金属であるクロム錯体の原料錯体の合成に成功し、次年度は酸素錯体合成を行う計画である。
