二核遷移金属錯体による酸素活性化機構の解明

研究概要

本研究では、モノオキシゲナーゼ活性を持つ二核金属錯体の合成と、酸素活性化機構の解明を目的として、下記の銅錯体について重点的に研究を行った。
三座配位子(bis(6-methyl-2-pyridyl-methyl)benzylamine:Me_2-pybn)を含む錯体([Cu(Me_2-pybn)]^+(1))は-80℃の低温で酸素分子と反応し、(μ-η^2;η^2-peroxo)Cu(II)_2錯体およびbis(μ-oxo)Cu(III)_2錯体を生成することを電子スペクトルおよび共鳴ラマンスペクトルより明らかにした。この錯体は自己分解の際に配位子に組み込んだメチル基を酸化し、様々な酸化生成物が得られることを見いだした。メチル基を重水素化した配位子(Me_2-pybn-d_6)を用いた自己分解反応の速度論的研究での同位体効果により、bis(μ-oxo)Cu(III)_2錯体のオキソ基によるメチル基の水素原子引き抜きが律速段階であり、生成したメチルラジカラから様々なラジカル反応が進行していることを明らかとした。一方、上記三座配位子をベンジル基のかわりに二つο-キシレン骨格で結んだ二核化配位子(bis{bis(6-methyl-2-pyridylmethyl)amino}-ο-xylene:Me_4-pyxyl)を含む銅(I)錯体([Cu_2(Me_4-pyxyl)_2]^+(2))は、酸素分子との反応でbis(μ-oxo)Cu(III)_2錯体は生成せず、(μ-η^2;η^2-peroxo)Cu(II)_2錯体のみを生成することを見いだした。この錯体は自己分解の際に、定量的且つ選択的にキシレン骨格の1位を水酸化することを見いだした。以上のように、μ-η^2;η^2-peroxo)Cu(II)_2種とbis(μ-oxo)Cu(III)_2種では、反応性が大きく異なることが明らかとなった。
