研究概要

以下の研究集会を開催した:
研究集会「Hodge Theory and Algebraic Geometry」1999年10月4日〜7日,鹿児島大学理学部,世話係:朝倉政典・坪井昭二・臼井三平.Mark Green氏(UCLA),Yongnam Lee氏(Pohang U.)も招待した.
研究集会「代数幾何学シンポジウム」1999年11月8日〜12日,兵庫県立城崎大会議館,世話係:今野一宏・遊佐毅.Jongkai Keum氏(Konkuk U.),Sijong Kwak氏(KIAS)も招待した.
研究集会「代数幾何学シンポジウム」2000年1月11日〜13日,九州大学国際交流会館,世話係:佐藤栄一.若手研究者が多数参加した.
ミニワークショップ「Hodge理論と代数幾何学」2000年1月21日〜23日,兵庫県八千代町公民館,世話係:臼井三平.密度の高い討議をした.また勤務時間外に自由参加として地元の人達との交流をした.
研究集会「退化・被覆・特異点の代数幾何とトポロジー」2000年2月7日〜11日,東北学院大学工学部,世話係:足利正・尾形庄悦・今野一宏.複数の分野間の興味深い交流が行われた.
それぞれの研究集会の報告集を作成中である.また,2000年7月20日〜30日に開催を予定している国際シンポジューム[Algebraic Geometry 2000」の準備をしている.
個々の研究実績・発表として主なものは次の通りである:臼井と加藤は共同研究により,Mumford等のトロイダルコンパクト化理論とGriffithsの周期写像理論を一般化した.この成果は12月にインドのタタ基礎科学研究所で臼井が発表した.Alexeevと中村はアーベル多様体のモジュライ空間の自然なコンパクト化を構成した.今野は非特異代数曲面上の曲線の標準環の生成元や関係式の次数の上限を調べ,一般代数曲面の標準環についてのCilibertoの定理を改善した.本科研費の代表者・分担者によるその他の成果については発表論文表参照.
