新規な光応答型磁性を持つ色素の開発

研究概要	本研究は、様々なラジカル結合型フタロシアニン(Pc)の合成と物性測定により、新規な光応答型磁性を持つ色素の開発を目指す。今年度は、以下の点について明らかにした。 (1)PROXYLラジカル結合型ケイ素Pc 2つのPROXYLラジカルが結合したケイ素Pcを新規に合成し、溶液中の光物性を時間分解ESR(TRESR)により検討した。近接した一重項、及び三重項状態を基底状態に持つこの化合物において、光励起直後、最初に基底状態の一重項性が増し、その後三重項性が増加することを明らかとした。この一重項性の増加は、初めて観測された現象であり、磁気的性質の光制御に関する新たな指針を得ることが出来た。 (2)TEMPOラジカル結合型ケイ素Pc 光誘起分布移動機構、ラジカル四重項対機構等を介して、基底状態の磁気的性質が変化するTEMPOラジカル結合型ケイ素Pcについて、速度論を用いた検討を行った。TRESR、Pulse-ESR、過渡吸収測定を併用することにより、磁性の変化、スピン格子緩和時間、励起状態寿命間の相対関係を明らかにした。 (3)結晶における光磁気物性 TEMPO結合型ケイ素Pc結晶を、ESR、SQUIDにより研究した。この結晶において、レーザー励起直後、過剰のαスピンの生成を示す、非常に強い時間分解ESR信号が観測された。これは、凍結溶液、TEMPOのみの結晶では観測されず、Pc色素結晶特有の効果である。10Kにおいては、レーザー励起直後、その過剰のαスピン生成により、全体の磁化は<1/10にまで減少する。この顕著な磁化の変化は、ケイ素Pcの励起エネルギーが、磁化の変化に効率よく変換されていることで理解できた。
