新規ナノ・固体クラスター高次物性と原子位置直接決定

研究概要	炭素、ホウ素、窒素をベースとしたフラーレンは人と環境に優しく、金属。無機材料と組み合わせ新規ナノ構造を構築することにより高機能・多機能が期待されるため、フラーレン類ナノ構造 (C-B-N ナノカプセル・チューブ・クラスター) の新規合成・評価を第一の目的とした。また得られた機能調和材料の原子レベルでの情報から材料設計原理構築を可能にするため、超高分解能電子顕微鏡による極微小領域原子配列の定量的評価法の確立を第二の目的とした。今年度は、1次元自己組織化 C ナノカプセル形成、Au ナノワイヤ内包カーボンナノチューブ自己組織形成、新規Ag@BNナノカプセル大量合成法開発、FeO_x 内包超常磁性BNナノカプセル形成により、新規合成プロセス開発及び新規ナノ構造の創成を達成し、更に微細構造を超高分解能電子顕微鏡-EDX により調べ、その形成メカニズムを解明した。さらにPd 原子インターカレーショングラファイト・(BN)_<36> フラーレンを創成し、分子軌道法・ab initio 第一原理計算・DV-Xα法により原子配列モデル構築・構造最適化・電子状態計算・物性予測を行い、将来的なナノデバイス適用可能性を検討した。またB_<12> 系ボライド、Hg 超伝導関連酸化物中のドーピング元素及び表面酸素原子等の原子位置・局所構造を決定し、原子位置直接決定及び物性発現機構解明に大きく貢献した。
